Some important considerations when relocating

  • Outdoor Area: Clean down garbage bins, lawn mowers, tools and other outdoor items
  • Plants: Donate any plants when moving long distances
  • Storage: When placing goods into storage, ensure that any personal documents are packed together and correctly labelled
  • Delivery Day: Be present when your goods are delivered to correctly direct furniture and cartons to their new locations

  1. Use removalist quality cartons
  2. Wrap items individually, placing heaviest items on the bottom and lightest items on the top
  3. Pack similar items and sets in the same carton
  4. Seal the carton with 5cm packing tape, ensuring that both the base and top of the carton are securely sealed
  5. Mark each carton with a content description, the room it belongs to and your name
  6. Pack books in small cartons so that they aren’t too heavy to handle
