The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV)

The Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) is the legislative peak body appointed to serve the 79 Victorian Councils across the State.

In 2011 Grace was awarded the contract to supply its services to MAV. These include but are not limited to secondary storage, back scanning, mail room and scan on demand services. Currently 51 Councils access the range of services Grace offers with the potential of many more to come on board. The contract is of significant importance to the business and consequently, Grace has expanded its presence to better serve the Councils with additional purpose-built facilities in Geelong and Ballarat. More recently, Gippsland and the south eastern corridor of Melbourne have experienced considerable growth and in response, Grace has commissioned a new records management facility to meet these needs.

Hallam was found to be the ideal location and the new facility has been fully equipped to cater to all the Government’s storage needs with the capacity to store 400,000 cartons, and a fully equipped scanning centre. The site is also certified as Approved Public Record Office Storage Supplier (APROSS).

The new facility has created increased employment opportunities as well as improved economies of scale for the GIM division. Grace is particularly pleased to able to generate employment opportunities in the current economic climate. And is sourcing a range of staff including trainees in information management roles by partnering with social procurement agencies: Supply Nation, Ability Works, Brotherhood of St Laurence and Thrive Be Your Best with the view to offer roles to socially disadvantaged members of the community.
