Back in August 2022, Bryce Ormsby, together with the Far North Queensland team of paddlers, represented Northern Queensland and participated at Great Britain IVF Va’a World Sprints 2022 in the United Kingdom.
The 11-day competition saw 1,500 paddlers from 19 countries, racing against headwinds and choppy water at Lake Dorney, which is the 2012 Olympics rowing venue about 28 miles west of London. The event formally opened on 9 August with an athlete parade and festivities. The Far North Queensland team has achieved excellent results, results are available on International Va’a Federation website.
Grace Group sponsored the Far North Queensland paddlers waterproof jackets and motion backpacks to support the team to brace the weather in England.

When he told me that his NQ Dragon Boat Club won events at the Aussie titles and they were qualified for the World championships in London, I was so happy for him!”
