Grace Fine Art transports the Queen of Egypt from England to Sydney

The Dying Cleopatra

Grace Fine Art has recently transported and handled an international relocation of a 2.5 tonne sculpture from England to Sydney. “The Dying Cleopatra” sculpture is created by 19th-century French sculptor and painter Jean-Baptiste Auguste Clésinger, and was purchased from Sotheby’s in London. The heavy marble sculpture required specialised equipment for the delivery and installation.

When the sculpture safely arrived at the client’s home, the roof became a landing placeholder to hoist the artwork . Our Fine Art handlers used a gantry mechanism to push it forwards, it was then brought inside for unpacking and display.
