Grace Fine Art and Grace Workplace Solutions pro bono assistance to The Torch

Grace Fine Art and Grace Workplace Solutions recently joined forces to provide essential pro bono assistance to The Torch, an esteemed organisation dedicated to Indigenous incarceration rehabilitation in Victoria.

For over a decade, starting from 2011, The Torch has been instrumental in transforming the lives of Indigenous prisoners and ex-prisoners in Victoria. Through its Indigenous Arts in Prisons and Community program, the organisation has provided life-changing opportunities by ensuring that 100% of the proceeds from artwork sales directly benefit the artists. Additionally, The Torch serves as a platform for Indigenous artists to not only exhibit their exceptional talent but also cultivate confidence and resilience through artistic expression. According to The Torch website, their program has achieved remarkable results, with only 11% of Torch participants returning to prison, in stark contrast to the average Indigenous recidivism rate of 53.4%.

Grace Fine Art and Grace Workplace Solutions assistance to the Torch

Grace was proud to assist The Torch in two key areas: office relocations and the storage and delivery of their fine art. Our Grace Workplace Solutions team helped the not-for-profit organisation move office locations from St Kilda to Carlton. This involved relocating all their office equipment and high-end furniture to ensure that The Torch were quickly and efficiently set-up in their new office with minimal interruption to their day-to-day work.

Our Grace Fine Art team also provided assistance in the office relocation by moving The Torch’s permanent collection of artwork to their new office. All items were carefully packed in our specialty boxes and successfully relocated to their new home via our team of experts. Additionally, Grace Fine Art were also able to help The Torch with their current exhibition, Confined 14, by:

  • Collecting and securely packing more than 400 pieces of artwork from The Torch’s office
  • Storing all pieces in our state of the art and climate-controlled facility
  • Delivering the items promptly for the exhibition

Held from 5 May – 4 June 2023, the exhibition has already seen some amazing results, with 170 of the 470 artworks already sold. These can be viewed online or in person at Glen Eira City Council Gallery.

Through a seamless collaboration between Grace Fine Art, Grace Workplace Solutions, and The Torch, The Torch were successfully relocated to their new office and all artworks were safely delivered for the launch of
the exhibition. We look forward to working with The Torch on future projects.
