What is an extended warranty and why is it important?
Whilst our focus is always on the provision of a high quality service and the minimisation of damage during the relocation process, its important to be aware that your goods may be exposed to a number of risks outside of our control during transit and/or storage. This is why we offer and recommend Grace Easycover extended liability warranty specifically designed to respond to these risks.
Is there specialist packing that can be used for antiques or high-end designer furniture?
Yes, Grace Fine Art specialises in the transportation of art and antiques so whether it is a sideboard or a designer chair, items requiring specialist care will be identified and a custom crate will manufactured to protect the item during transit.
Do I have to be at the uplift and delivery?
An authorised representative needs to be at both the uplift and delivery of your belongings. At delivery, it is especially important that this person can advise the Grace crew on the placement of furniture and cartons in the new home and complete the delivery documentation.
What should I do if the size of my move changes?
If you have added or removed furniture items between the time of your initial quotation and your move, it is important to please contact your Grace moving consultant and we will review the quote if necessary.
How should I pack my effects, if I have elected to either fully or partially self-pack?
Grace is able to provide you with packing materials for your move. Alternatively you can use your own packing materials. Your move coordinator can provide a link to handy packing tips you can follow to ensure your effects are well protected for transit.
Can I move pot plants?
Yes, Grace can move your pot plants throughout Australia provided there are no state quarantine restrictions, however we do not recommend transporting plants over long distances particularly in the summer months or regions with high temperatures.
What should I do with valuables such as jewellery and stamp collections?
Small valuable items such as jewellery, watches or stamp collections can be moved by Grace, however we recommend you take these items with you as personal luggage. If you wish Grace to pack and move high value items, it is important that you advise your Grace Moving Consultant at the time of preparing the quotation.
What items are you unable to move?
The following are considered to be dangerous goods and cannot transported by Grace:
Cooking Oils, Cleaning Solvents, Aerosol Cans, Matches, Firelighters, Pesticides, Paint Thinners, Oil, Petrol, Kerosene, Methylated Spirits, Turpentine, Weed Killers, Photographic Chemicals, Swimming Pool Treatments and Firearms.

Why do I have to pay Import GST for an artwork I purchased overseas?
All commercial imports into Australia are taxable at a rate of 10%. Luckily, most artwork is Duty Free, so you only pay the 10% Import GST.
Can Grace Fine Art provide insurance?
Grace can arrange insurance coverage for your consignment via our insurance broker, however our WarrantyPlus extended warranty protection program provides broader protection than most of the insurance policies available in the market.
Why should I store my art in a climate-controlled environment?
Temperature and humidity can damage art. Research shows that 21°C and 50% relative humidity significantly slow the deterioration of cultural treasures. However, not all artworks require these conditions. Consult a Grace art storage expert to determine the best storage solution for your art.

If I request something today, how long before I receive it?
Grace can return your records within as little as two hours from the time of your request. For a more cost-effective option, next-day delivery is also available.
Do all your facilities have a fire system?
Yes, all Grace facilities are equipped with fire detection and security systems. For added protection, we also offer secure vault storage for your most valuable or sensitive records.

What’s wrong with record self storage?
Risks around fire safety, information security, potential mould or damage, neighbouring properties, and site security.
How do I get to open up my cartons and remove dated files before returning to storage?
We can provide carton access either by visit or drop off. Once completed they get returned to storage.
We are keen to make the move and relocate our archive boxes over to Grace but too expensive?

If we agree and sign the contract, what is the time frame for boxes to be transferred over to Grace?
Depends solely on the incumbent provider. We do put in place a well-structured relocation plan and we have constant communication with both their Customer Service team as well as their Operations Managers to make it a smooth transition.
Do you accept any boxes – Example Reflex, Marbig, or Office or Corporate Express?
We do accept the Standard 30 Litre Archive Boxes as well as the 20 Litre Half Size. However, they must be in good condition as we don’t accept any damaged boxes. If they are, we will re-box them into our Grace First Quality Archive Boxes.
We will also be looking at destroying some of our boxes. Do you have the rooms or space so that we can review the records?
Yes. We have a specific designated area at Grace. If you have identified boxes for destruction, these will be retrieved off the shelves and placed onto pallets for easy access for your nominated staff to go through and review.
