We take every precaution to protect your goods while they’re in storage. We offer superior packing materials, quality assurance and secure facilities. But some things are out of our control. Our self storage insurance safe guards your items against unexpected events, for the ultimate stress free storage solution.
Selecting Self Storage Insurance
Firstly, decide on the type of self storage insurance cover you require:
- Transit
Insurance while your storage module is moving from your house to our secure storage facilities.
- Transit and storage
Insurance while your storage module is in our care during transit and storage.
- Storage only
Insurance while your goods are in our care in storage. This includes cover for fire, lightning, aircraft, earthquake, storm and tempest, flood, water from fixed pipes or systems, riots, strikes and civil commotion, explosion and impact damage.
Secondly, select the level of cover you require:
- Grace Easycover – The Ultimate Cover
The ultimate cover protects against loss or damage to the insured goods. This includes cover for pairs and sets, mechanical, electrical breakdown or derangement and normal atmospheric or climatic conditions. Grace Easycover – The Ultimate Cover, is based on replacement cost. Replacement cost covers the replacement (new) cost of items (other than motor vehicles, caravans, boats and trailers which are Market Value Cover Only). - Grace Standard Cover – Replacement Cost
Grace provides cover against loss or damage to the insured goods, but is subject to limitation in claims for pairs and sets, and excludes cover for mechanical and electrical breakdown or derangement and normal atmospheric or climatic conditions. Replacement cost insurance provides for the replacement (new) cost of any items (other than motor vehicles, caravans, boats and trailers – Market Value Cover Only) provided the item is less than 10 years old or has been specifically declared and valued in the insurance declaration form.
