Darwin city

Darwin cityDarwin is a fascinating tropical city set on the edge of the harbour and the gateway to Kakadu National Park.  Darwin is loved for its world-class natural and culturalattractions, such as Stokes Hill Wharf and Smith Street pedestrian mall, plus its laid-back lifestyle. Overall Darwin has a relatively low cost of living; while freight charges on grocery line and produce can be higher, it is balanced out by lower travelling distances to work and social activities.

Educational institution

Darwin SchoolsCurrently there are 58 schools serving Darwin, predominately government and a small number of private schools. Extracurricular activities such as rehearsals, excursions and sports activities are often held outside normal school hours.

Darwin transportDarwin’s public transport system relies heavily on buses with no local rail services. Operated by Darwinbus they service Darwin, Casuarina, Palmerston and greater rural area. Sealink, privately owned, operates the Mandorah ferry across the harbour. Darwin City Council also maintains over 400km of local roadways with no tolls.
