Helping Australians in need

Your donation helps generate essential funds to provide much needed assistance and support to
children, families, and individuals across Australia. Watch the video below to see how your donation
makes a difference to Aussies doing it tough.

Contributing to a sustainable future

When moving house, we often come across items that are still in good condition but no longer serve
a purpose in our home. Whether it’s a pair of jeans that no longer fit, a set of skis we’ve never had
the opportunity to use or hard-cover books that we just have no space for, each of these items can
be donated to the Salvos Stores to help generate essential funds to support The Salvation Army and
their various charity missions.

In addition to helping Australians in need, your donation will help contribute to a sustainable future
by reducing unnecessary waste and landfill. In Australia alone, the average household is responsible
for producing nearly 1.5 tonnes of waste annually. By choosing to donate your high-quality items to
the Salvos Stores, you are actively contributing to a cycle of reuse that helps people in need while
also reducing the volume of waste sent to landfills.

It is best to call The Salvos Stores to book in your collection as soon as you receive your cartons from Grace. Due to high demand, collection dates are often scheduled 2-4 weeks after your call depending on your location, so it is best to book your collection in as soon as possible. If you’re initially uncertain about how many boxes will be collected, you can always contact The Salvos Stores later, before your pick-up, to let us know if there are more boxes than originally planned.

Each carton must weigh no more than 15kg. This is to ensure that your items can be safely lifted and transported to the Salvos Stores. Any carton over 15kg will not be collected.

There is no limit to how many Salvos Stores boxes you can request from Grace so if you are concerned that you carton is too heavy, you can distribute the items across multiple boxes.
