Project Overview
The Queen’s Wharf Brisbane Integrated Resort Development stands as a $3.6 billion landmark reshaping the city’s skyline. Grace Workplace Solutions played a pivotal role in delivering the largest Furniture, Fittings & Equipment (FF&E) project in the company’s history. Over a span of two years, our team managed the end-to-end process of securing, tracking, delivering, and installing approximately 20,000 individual items, amounting to over 13,000m³ of FF&E.
Our contributions included the provision and installation of luxury furnishings for accommodation rooms, gaming tables, poker machines, and various amenities across staff and common areas. The project demanded meticulous coordination and execution to ensure every item was seamlessly integrated into the development’s grand vision.

Project Challenges
- Logistics & coordination: Managing and tracking an extensive inventory of 20,000+ items, ensuring timely delivery and precise installation across multiple areas of the resort.
- Construction interference: Working within an active construction site required careful scheduling and collaboration to prevent disruptions and ensure safety.
- Tight timelines: Coordinating night shifts and phased deliveries to align with the overall project timeline, ensuring all installations were completed before the grand opening.
- Security & compliance: Safeguarding valuable assets during storage and transit, adhering to strict quality control standards.
Project Solution
To address these challenges, Grace Workplace Solutions implemented a series of strategic solutions:
-
Advanced inventory management: Utilised a tracking system to monitor every item from receipt to installation, ensuring complete chain-of-custody transparency.
- Dedicated crews: Operated overnight shifts to install FF&E components, avoiding interference with daytime construction activities and adhering to tight deadlines.
- Collaborative planning: Worked closely with Destination Brisbane Consortium, Multiplex Australia, and key suppliers to streamline logistics and execution.
- Expert project management: The FF&E Division, led by key personnel including Dharmesh Vekaria (Senior Project Manager), ensured smooth coordination between warehousing, transportation, and on-site installation teams.
