Getting Around

The ACTION bus network is the main form of public transport and offers services to the city’s surrounding suburbs as well as entertainment venues and educational institutions. The inner parts of the city are pedestrian and bicycle friendly, and many selected buses are equipped with bike racks for those who wish to cycle around town.


HospitalsThere are eight public and private hospitals and day surgeries in the Australian Capital Territory that are easily accessible across Canberra. The main two hospitals in the ACT are The Canberra Hospital and the National Capital Private, both located in the suburb of Garren, just south of the city centre.
