It was a perfect day with blue skies and plenty of sunshine for this year’s Sun-Herald City2Surf and once again the Grace Group did the company proud.
The team of 16 participants, made up of employees and their families, joined 85,000 other people for one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
While some of the team were keen to beat their personal best times, others enjoyed soaking in the atmosphere as they walked along side smurfs, super heroes, ballerinas and thousands of others all out for a good time.
While the big news of the day was the collapse of TV’s Bondi Vet, Dr Chris Brown, fortunately, the Grace team came out relatively unscathed.
The leading entrant for Grace Removals was Service Delivery Manager, Sierra Waterman, whose time of 01:21:28 was not only almost three minutes faster than last year, it was also enough to beat her husband who came in 15 seconds later.
Unfortunately, Sierra’s result was not enough to beat Bruce Pearce from Grace Records Management in Brisbane, who came in at 01:07:44 or Grace Self Storage Franchisee, Jon Wightwick who registered a time of 01:19:57.
No doubt, Grace Removals will be looking to get one up on their Grace counterparts next year.
