Grace Fine Art is proud to be the exclusive logistics partner for The Australian Antique & Art Dealers Association’s (AAADA) upcoming Sydney Antique Fair to be held in September at the Kensington Room, Royal Randwick Racecourse.
The AAADA is the leading industry body representing Antique and Fine Art dealers in Australia, and their members are renowned for their expertise in the industry.
This years’ fair will include an exclusive exhibition titled ‘The Mystery of Napoleon’s Gift’, incorporating the Sparkling Jewellery Collection of Gwyneth Todd who now lives in Sydney and is a direct descendant of Napoleon Bonaparte.
Her collection includes a number of extremely unique and precious items such as a brooch with a portrait of Louis de Castevecchio, and a Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI diamond studded necklace and chain with a lock of hair that is currently being tested to establish it does indeed belong to Marie Antoinette herself.
The exhibition is also complimented by a special lecture on Saturday the 12th of September by Gwyneth Todd herself, telling tales of her fascinating family history and the wonderful collection of jewellery, paintings and porcelain that she has acquired through inheritance.
Whether you are a collector or have an interest in arts and antiquities, the Sydney Antiques Fair is the event not to be missed in 2015.
