Two-hundred and forty six students, up to 800 parcels and countless hours of blood, sweat and tears make up this year’s ArtExpress exhibition.

The annual exhibition showcases some of the best artworks created by students for the NSW Higher School Certificate examination in Visual Arts.

For 16 years now, Grace Fine Art has been entrusted with the packaging, transporting and delivery of these students most prized possessions.

ArtExpress has spent nine weeks at the Art Gallery of NSW and is now touring regional galleries in NSW, including Orange, Broken Hill, Maitland, Grafton and Wagga Wagga.

James Campbell, Grace Fine Art Business Development Manager, and Charles Bryceland, the Sydney Branch Manager, had the privilege of attending the exhibition launch to present the annual Grace Fine Art Award. This year’s recipient was Jacinta Abou-Chrouch from St Charbel’s College, Punchbowl. Her drawing, titled ‘Frozen in time’, captures split moments in a busy snowy cityscape.

The exhibition includes a broad range of approaches and expressive forms such as painting, photomedia, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, documented forms, textiles and fibre, ceramics and time-based forms. It will continue around the state until the end of October.
