With more and more businesses realising the benefits of information management and archiving, Grace Records Management has been forced to expand to cater for an influx in new business.
In July 2012, GRM Perth opened a new warehouse after its existing premises were bursting at the seams. The state-of-the art warehouse has taken GRM Perth’s footprint to 5651.5m², an increase of more than 80 per cent in 4 years.
Now it seems, our Melbourne branch is facing the same dilemma. Having reached more than 1 million cartons last year, a new facility was planned to be opened in 2014. However, as its reputation for quality and secure document storage grew, a greater need for more space developed and the project was moved forward. Work on a fourth warehouse at the premises in West Footscray is well underway and is expected to be completed by mid year. This will take Melbourne’s capacity to nearly 24,000 square metres of warehouse space and make it larger than the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.
Like all our warehouses, the new Melbourne facility has been specifically designed for records storage and will include purpose built racking, temperature control, fire protection and 24 hour security.
