At Grace Removals, we pride ourselves on providing a high quality and professional service via a combination of planning, correctly resourcing and actively managing the relocation process. As part of this service, we are committed to minimising the damage to your goods during the relocation process. As such, we enjoy one of the lowest claim incident ratios in the industry because of our commitment to security and protection.
However, despite our best efforts, it pays to be aware of the fact that your goods are exposed to a number of risks, many of which are outside our control, whilst your goods are in transit and/or storage. Just as you need to protect your valuable possessions and property in your home, we have an obligation to recommend that you consider protecting the same valuable personal possessions and property while in transit and/or storage.
Grace holds a Customer Goods in Transit and Storage Insurance policy. On your behalf, we can arrange for this policy to cover you. We pride ourselves on competitive rates, quick resolution and having a single point of contact to help sort out any problems. However, you also have the option of obtaining insurance from an insurance company of your own choice. It is important to carefully consider the need to insure compared to the risk. Whomever you ensure with, the cost of cover us invariably far less than the potential risk.
The amount you pay for the insurance depends on the value of the goods being removed or stored.
Other factors which determine the premium include:
- the type of insurance selected by you (market or replacement value, transit or storage);
- the distance the goods are transported or period for which the goods are stored;
- the insurance cover selected (all risks or only specified risks).
At Grace, we can help you determine what you need. For more information, check out our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), Financial Services Guide (FSG) and Insurance Proposal Form, by clicking here.
